Abby Lazerow attended Mount Holyoke College and received a BFA from the University of Connecticut. She has received numerous grants and awards including from the National Endowment for the Arts, Haines & Friends Foundation, and the Vermont Council on the Arts. Her paintings are exhibited nationally and her work is included in the collections of the American Film Institute and Harvard Business school, as well as many public and private collections. Her artwork has appeared in national publications including Arts Magazine and ArtNews. Before moving to southern Oregon, Abby was a museum educator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, an art instructor at UCLA and USC, and a California Arts Council artist in residence. In Los Angeles she was represented by Traction Gallery, Jessica Darraby Gallery and Lelia Ivy Gallery. She also designed stage sets for theaters in Los Angeles and in Oregon. In the Pacific Northwest she has exhibited her work at Davis & Cline Gallery, the Elisabeth Jones Art Center, Rogue Art Gallery, the Corvallis Art Center, The Space Gallery, Gallery 110, Graphite Arts Center, Marylhurst University and the Newport Visual Arts Center, as well as the Grants Pass Art Museum, SOU Center for the Arts and the Schneider Museum of Art.
Abby lives on a small farm with her family in Ashland where she paints in her studio and raises sheep and tends a large garden.
